Kevin Hall Bio

Nationally known Educator and trumpet player, Kevin Hall served as Program Manager for the largest community music school in the northwest (Musicworks NW) from 1991-2000. His music training and background includes attending Olympic and Green River Colleges and pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Education Degree at Western Washington University.


Kevin Hall has been a Performer throughout North America with symphonies, jazz ensembles, and the contemporary group Alive & Well. Highlights of his musical career include performances with Doc Sevrenson & Marvin Stamm, and twice receiving the Outstanding Soloist Award at the IAJE Northwest Collegiate Jazz Festival. He also has been a producer of recording projects and performed as a recording artist on numerous CDs.

Mr. Hall has been a Teacher in public schools and colleges and is in demand as a presenter at conventions, workshops and festivals. Kevin Hall is a graduate of the 1998 Seattle Regional Management School and served for 7 years as Festival Director for the Pacific Northwest Music Festival held each year at the University of Washington and is Executive Director of the Mill Creek Jazz Festival. Kevin has directed jazz ensembles for Heatherwood Middle School and for the award winning H.M. Jackson High School music program (Mill Creek, WA). He also is a jazz director at Glacier Peak High School (Snohomish, WA) . 


Kevin was an Adjudicator for the 2005 and 2008 Washington All-State Solo & Ensemble Contest, the 2002 Northshore Jazz Festival, the 1999 Green River League Jazz Festival, the 1998 North Puget Sound League Solo and Ensemble Contest, and has presented at the Washington Music Educator Association Conference on Instrumental Brass Techniques.
